About The Song
I came across this track while browsing the Club Controller EP.
The title alone told me it was the anchor of the project, and when I pressed play, the energy matched the name. This is amapiano built for motion — the kind of record that takes control of the room the moment it drops. I found myself replaying it before the tracklist even finished.
If you follow Abidoza’s catalog, this is a clear signal of where he is heading.
Abidoza, born Amogelang Chabangu, was raised in Marokolong, a northern suburb of Pretoria .
His story is one of dedication — commuting 70 miles to Johannesburg to work in a recording studio before dropping out of school to commit fully to music .
He first made noise in 2018 producing Tsitso’s “Baby Boy,” but his career exploded after connecting with Major League DJz . Together they released Pianochella and What’s the Levol in 2020, the same year Abidoza dropped his debut solo album The Last Dance . In 2021, he produced Cassper Nyovest’s massive hit “Siyathandana,” and his own Black Child (2022) and Phola (2023) followed .
“Controller” arrives as the title track of the eight-track Club Controller EP, released through Abidoza’s Doza Nation Entertainment imprint . The project brings together a lineup of collaborators including Tumza D’kota, Calvin Fallo, El.Stephano, Djy Vino, KMAT, and Trixx .
El.Stephano features on the title track, sharing billing with Abidoza on what is positioned as the EP’s defining statement . For context, El.Stephano also appeared on Abidoza’s April 2026 single “Sengikhethile,” alongside Mr Maker, Djy Vino, and Luxury Piano — suggesting a working chemistry that carries into this project .
Share it with a friend who knows the dancefloor needs a controller.
