Dr Mayembe is a prominent Zambian gospel recording artist, songwriter, and performer known for his prolific output and deeply spiritual worship music. He has carved out a distinct niche in the Kalindula-infused Afro-pop and Zed Beats scene, blending traditional Zambian sounds with contemporary gospel production.

His catalog is substantial, with Qobuz listing eight albums released in 2026 alone, including God Has Changed My Level (April 2026), Hallelujah (July 2026), Lesa Chilibwe Chandi (Psalms 18) (August 2026), and Nabika Umulopa (Wakwa Yesu Mulifyonse) (August 2026). His music spans Gospel and occasionally other genres, as seen with Mwitina Mwebana Shipeni, which was classified under Acid Jazz upon its July 2026 release.

Dr Mayembe's songs are performed primarily in local Zambian languages, with titles like "Yesu Empususha" (Jesus My Savior), "Niwe Natemwa" (God Loves You), and "Shakalabe Uluse Lwamfumu" (I Will Never Forget the Mercies of God) reflecting his focus on worship, redemption, and testimony. His English-language channel further extends his reach, sharing gospel and worship music with a global audience
